Ann Carmel T. Benjamin, 75, of Archbald died Saturday at Mountain View Care Center. She is survived by her husband Robert L. Benjamin II. The couple would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on November 4th.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmela Coviello Mecca. Ann was an office secretary for Dr. Pancoast and later retiring as an office supervisor for Geisinger. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to the YMCA in Dunmore and traveling to Myrtle Beach with her husband. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose life was centered around her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Scott B. Benjamin, Harrisburg and Robert L. Benjamin III and wife Kim, North Port, FL; a granddaughter Nicole Benjamin, North Port, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers Anthony, Sal and Vince Mecca.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Care Center for the care and compassion shown towards Ann.
Services were privately held under the care of Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., Dunmore.
